general insurance

Having adequate buildings insurance in place, in order to insure your home against the elements and accidental or malicious damage is most likely to be a condition of your mortgage.

Even if it isn't, or you do not have a mortgage, it is still very prudent to have in place sufficient funds in order to carry out major repairs, should 'lightning strike'. A Buildings Insurance policy is likely to be the most suitable solution to providing those monies.

As well as protecting the physical make up of your home, you will also want to consider insuring your contents within it, in case of damage and/or theft. A Contents Insurance policy will help address this for you.

Frequently, these solutions are taken together in the form of a Buildings & Contents policy, though they can be taken independently of one another.

There is an increasing need for just Contents Insurance alone, for example, as more and more people look to enjoy the benefits and lifestyle of living in a city centre apartment, where the Buildings Insurance for your apartment, is already in place as part of a Block policy.

clear, via Sesame Insure, have chosen a single provider, Royal & Sun Alliance, to address our clients' Buildings and/or Contents Insurance requirements.

We would be more than happy to provide you with a quote, whether it be at the time of arranging a mortgage for you, or when your existing policy is set to come up for renewal.

Similarly, we use the same provider, when arranging Accident & Sickness and/or Unemployment cover for our clients.

When advising on and arranging your mortgage for you, there is never any obligation to take out any of these 'general insurances' with clear. It is also very rare that any lender will make it mandatory that you take out their general insurance policies, as part of taking a mortgage with them.

For all other general insurance products we act as introducers only.
